Missing canons in the Code of Canon Law
Main Article Content
Abstract
The current Code of Canon Law legislates in two of its books on the doctrinal and cultural aspects of the Church's mission, but does not devote any special treatment to its charitable irrision. In the Vatican Curia important dicasteries deal with Catholic doctrine and worship; the promotion of charitable activity is entrusted to a secondary organisation. But there is no lack of conciliar and pontifical norms that encourage the practice of Christian charity. This short article by Professor Emeritus Estanislao Olivares proposes a reception of these norms in a future Code of Canon Law.
