The biography of a Catholic generation. Giuseppe Dossetti in the centenary of his birth

Abstract
The centenary of the birth of Giuseppe Dossetti (1913–1996), politician, Christian Democratic Italian Deputy (1945–1951), leader of its left wing in the Bologna City Council until 1958 is fulfilled, was more a late priest and founder of a monastic community. This paper examines the individual experience of Giuseppe Dossetti (1913–2013) and compares it with the personal paths of a generation of Catholics during the transition from fascism to democracy. After a brief reflection on the historical issue of the new generation of Catholics, the article analyzes the features of the formation of this generation and of the passage of these young people to politics.
