Towards a concept of political and social impact as a challenge for the NGOs of the 21st century

Abstract
This article attempts to approach the concept of Social and Political Impact as a key element for NGODs to be able to meet the challenges of working for justice and against poverty in a world undergoing an accelerated process of change. This article analyses the basic elements of the political dimension of NGODs to conduct a theoretical approach to its concept, characteristics and typology.
Then we propose to describe the very concept of Political and Social Impact as well as to define and characterize it. The text concludes with a presentation of the major institutional implications that should be considered in the option to develop this impact.
