Abstract
El objeto de este artículo no es una presentación completa de la encíclica Caritas in veritate2. El formar parte de un dossier de la Revista de Fomento Social que dedica otros artículos al documento pontificio obliga a limitar el alcance y contenido de estas páginas. Su finalidad es ofrecer el marco en que la encíclica apareció y las claves más significativas para su interpretación. Quizás la cuestión del marco es más objetiva; identificar las claves, en cambio, puede conllevar una carga subjetiva mayor: pero este intento, que procuraremos realizar desde un esfuerzo por ir al texto y leerlo desde él mismo, esperamos sea una ayuda para la lectura de un documento cuya compresión no resulta fácil para el lector medio.
