Infoethics and human rights. Pospossibilities and limitations of digital citizenship
Main Article Content
Abstract
The term “Infoethics” has become very popular in the last few years, and is used to analyse the ethical problems that are being generated by our information society, so this text is dedicated to a reflection on this concept, describing some of its most common uses. This analysis is complemented with a review of the reasons why some authors have had second thoughts about considering human rights to be a consequence of the transformations provoked by our knowledge society. Finally, there is a discussion about the possibilities that Infoethics has of building a new dimension of citizenship, digital citizenship, which results from the appearance of cyberspace, our information society and the digitalization of all available information.
