The European Space for Higher Education: a reflection
Main Article Content
Abstract
We present both a description and an analysis of what is known as The Bologna Process, which aims at harmonising and modernising European universities. As well as a short history of the process, a summary of its proposals is offered. The most important contribution to this editorial article is the evaluation of this reform; the fact that the model corresponds to a university centred on the student is emphasised. We present, from the point of view of the editorial board, the values implicit in the process and the pros and cons of the aims to be reached regarding competitiveness and adaptation to the world today.
