Abstract
This note continues the dialogue initiated in our last issue. The author maintains that the Church can and must embody an alternative to the dominant global discourse. To do so, he offers a typology of the Church–society relationship, and proposes a “meta–modern” model which combines the autonomy of the secular with a unified (non–dualistic) vision of reality. Thus, the author affirms that the Church is called to be a visible and differentiated social space that embodies the Kingdom with creative imagination.
