The civil society and the integration processes in Latin America
Main Article Content
Abstract
The revitalization of the regional economic integration processes taking place everywhere in Latin America since the 90s is directly related to what seems the definite settlement of democracy in the bosom of the respective States, except for the recurring Cuban case. In search of success, both processes demand inexcusable participation from the civil society that guarantees the bid for modernization and development. The historical moment seems the most appropriate after the disappearance of the “comunist threat” and the opportunity provided by the technological globalization. A challenge that sets out the responsibility and broad outlook of each of the social actors involved.
