Notes for the debate about the World Social Forum
Main Article Content
Abstract
This text is a general reflection about the Forum, written before the Bombay meeting by one of its founder and one of the most prominent members of its Organising Commitee. He defends the model of the Forum as a space, against the idea of a Forum–movement, as an open meeting place for reflective thinking, democratic debate of ideas, formulation of proposals, free exchange of experiences and inter–linking for effective action. Afterwards, we include a chronicle of one of the participants in the Bombay meeting.
