The Master’s degree programs in co–operation and development in Spain. Preliminary analysis and reflections
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper presents an analytical overview of the Master’s degree programs in cooperation and development in Spain. It does not intend to evaluate these programs. Instead it reflects on whether they are well adapted to the needs of the Spanish aid system. For this purpose, the study analyses the emergence of these Master’s programs in the nineties and their evolution since, the programs’ main characteristics and approaches, as well as the tensions which exist between the universities’ goals and those of other aid actors, and the role that the government should play in this area. It is organized in several chapters including a more detailed study of various programs and final reflections which should contribute to improving training for development in Spain.
