Abstract
The years of Spanish centre–right Government, led by José María Aznar, have been characterised by certain economic results worth appreciating. After a rapid presentation of the fundamental features of Spanish economy, benefited by the positive results of the preceding socialist government, the author discusses the economic policy, especially taxes, of the Government in power today, showing up its particular, contradictory character, lacking in redistribution intentions, but not purely neoliberal.
