Ethical investment funds and solidarity investment funds
Main Article Content
Abstract
Ethical investment funds play a larger role in business behaviour than is usually considered. The author studies the concept of ethical investment funds and those of a similar nature, within the framework of what is know in Anglo– Saxon circles as ‘Socially Responsible Investment’. The United Kingdom Social Investment Forum (UKSIF), the network that covers all the entities in the UK that work in this field, defines socially responsible investments as those which integrate the financial objectives of the investors with their social principles, such as social justice, economic development, peace and the environment. At a time of debate in Spain about the conditions of capital investment, this study can contribute interesting practical guidance.
