Interview with Romano Prodi, President of the European Commission

Abstract
On the initiative of “Aggiornamenti sociali”, our Italian Jesuits fellow journal, and together with the French equivalent “Projet”, we are publishing this interesting interview that Fr. Sorge held with the President of the European Commission. In this interview, without avoiding controversial matters, Romano Prodi comments important issues for the process of European integration as well as the challenges to be faced. What is more, prompted by the interviewer, the President makes clear and sincere declarations about certain questions with respect to the role of believers and the Christian Churches within the dynamics of perfecting the European Union.
