Avanzando hacia la resiliencia y sostenibilidad de las áreas de montaña en Europa. El proyecto MOVING

Abstract
Las zonas de montaña europeas proporcionan bienes y servicios públicos cruciales para el bienestar de la sociedad, pero también se encuentran entre las áreas rurales más remotas y son muy vulnerables frente a amenazas como el cambio climático. El proyecto H2020 MOVING investiga como incrementar la resiliencia y sostenibilidad en 23 zonas montañosas a través de las cadenas de valor existentes. MOVING tiene un enfoque metodológico participativo, sistémico e integrado, investigando cada zona como un sistema socio-ecológico, en el que existen cadenas de valor basadas en recursos naturales que son clave para el desarrollo sostenible pero que enfrentan vulnerabilidades. Las principales vulnerabilidades de los usos del suelo y de las cadenas de valor identificadas con los actores locales son cambio climático, cambios de uso del suelo, despoblación, pérdida de biodiversidad, degradación de recursos naturales. También se han identificado mecanismos adaptativos para incrementar la resiliencia y sostenibilidad.
