Proyecto Aprendizaje y Servicio Universitario «La Lectura viene a Cuento», Asociación de Familiares de Alzheimer y Universidad de Cádiz

Abstract
Participants of the CuentUCA 2023/24 Workshop put into practice lessons from the AySU Project “La Lectura viene a Cuento” at the Alzheimer's Family Association in Algeciras. Together with: el equipo del Centro de Escritura-UCA, the AyS bases by Tapia (2019), Escofet Roig and Rubio Serrano (2017) and García García (2021), bilingualism and health in a non-formal environment, the proposal was designed to be carried out in a diverse and multilingual environment. Campo de Gibraltar was chosen, connecting “lectura y salud”. The participants involved in the AySU are University staff (teachers and librarians) and the recipients, people with Alzheimer's, linked to the Association, and the main objectives: to promote communication, emotional well-being and social interaction in people with Alzheimer's. The results include the solidarity service, the continuity of cooperation with AFA, the creation of open training modules and the legacy of the CuentUCA experience.
