Abstract
Manuel de Solórzano y Escobar was a Jesuit priest born in Fregenal de la Sierra (Badajoz), who worked as a missionary in the Mariana Islands and died in the revolution of the Chamorros, natives of those islands. After being slaughtered in 1684 in Agaña, an island of the Guam de las Marianas, his head was sent to Spain and it was kept as a relic in his native town until the end of the XIX century when it came to be kept at Segura de León. Since its arrival in Spain, the relic was kept by its successive repositories, along with an abundant documentation, including a rich collection of letters to which this article is dedicated. The transcript and commentary of the last two items of the letter collection are included as an annex.
