Abstract

The present article reflects on the way in which eschatology oponed up to historical thougth the last century. The need to take charge of history as category of thougt led to a repositioning of theological reflection. This movement, gathered around the Secon Vatican Council, makes recent eschatology manuals to take different positions. The last part of the article includes this positions and asks about de meaning of “eschatological” in current theology.
