Clericalism and the wounds of priests

Abstract
The phenomenon of clericalism has been considered by Pope Francis one of the great evils of the Church today. In this article we propose to investigate the deep roots that are usually hidden under this attitude of superiority, based on a misunderstood "divine choice". The origin of this mood, often narcissistic, would be found in an early feeling of insecurity and inadequacy of the priest, which has also been pointed out by different authors. The path of redemption goes through a sincere psycho-spiritual process of self-knowledge, not always easy.
