The silent condition
Main Article Content
Abstract
Among the phenomena in which postmodernity crystallizes is the dissolution of the subject. The social, cultural and technological flow has materialized in a depersonalization, which transforms the individual into a mass, whose main function is the immediate satisfaction of drives. Recovering a space of unified identity, recovering individuality (individual, individuus, indivisible), entails returning to interiority, to silence, to the non-presence of language or stimuli, as a premise to recompose the subject. From this perspective, the article aims to offer keys that help recover that original unity lost from silence. This article analyzes the meaning of the philosophy of Heidegger and Wittgenstein and the role that silence and the ethical-existential attitude that these authors propose play in it.
