The Sacraments in the liturgical tradition of the Armenian Churches
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Armenian Churches offer a particular list of Sacraments within their wide and very old liturgical tradition. Among all the Sacraments, the one of greater significance is the Divine Eucharist, to which the Armenians allot a relevant chapter. The Armenians share the Latin sevenfold list due to the influence received from the Catholic Church, but they do not develop nor practice all the Sacraments in the same manner, because the use of some Sacraments has practically disappeared of their sacramental liturgical life and from other sacramental rites; instead, they offer numerous similarities with the Sacraments practiced by the Roman Catholic Church.
