Abstract

The patriarchal stories of Joseph and Jacob show us two different ways of restoring a broken fraternal relationship, depending on whether the initiative for reconciliation comes from the innocent or from the culprit. This article seeks to offer some clues that are present in both biblical accounts and that are capable of enlightening the believer’s challenge of promote the reconciliation and to restore fraternity.
