Corporeality of Jesus' Resurrection

Main Article Content

Enrique Barón

Abstract

In this article a reflection is carried out on the corporeal nature of Jesus´ resurrection, focusing on the aspects that are in gear with relation to the same: the empty tomb, the apparitions of the Risen one, the glorified body in Paul, and a few considerations of the “historic” character of the said resurrection. The author tries to offer an integrating vision of the problem, shunning two extremes: a gross positivism, which either denies the bodily resurrection of Jesus, or reduces it to a simple re-animation of a corpse, and a blind spiritualism which ends up by taking away importance from the glorified body of Christ, on behalf of the leading role of the soul’s immortality.
