Abstract
The article attempts to make a reading of the “signs of the times” from the following observation: not having learned the lesson from either the Holocaust (as Primo Levi maintained) or the pandemic (as the best modern sociologists maintain), has led us to a situation full of very serious and very probable threats to which there are two positions: unconsciousness on the one hand and conscious pessimism on the other. From here, we try to collect some seeds of hope that range from exposing the evil of capitalism to recovering small lessons from other cultures.
