"You are the Christ" (Mk 8, 27-30) The identity of Jesus in Mark's Gospel
Main Article Content
Abstract
The novelty showed to us by Mark’s Gospel lies both in its literary genre as Gospel, and in the introduction he makes of Jesus. The addressees of this work are going through difficult times. The readers of Mark are suffering a classic situation of persecution, and the presentation the evangelist makes of Jesus as Messiah, who reveals himself dying, suggests that the community has not yet solved the problem of Jesus’ true identity. To answer this question will be the key to become an authentic follower.
