A condensed summary of Jesus' claim The answer to the disciples of the Baptist (Mt 11,2-6 and Lk 7,18-23)
Main Article Content
Abstract
The ‘third search for the historical Jesus’ attempts to reinsert him in the context of his origin, rooting him in the heart of his Jewish people, and does so from an interdisciplinary perspective, in which the contributions of the various social sciences are admitted. In this context, the author questions, from the perspective of Christology, Jesus' pretensions in the sphere of relations with the Baptist, a fundamental character in the Jewish culture of Jesus' time. Professor Uribarri shows us how, before the Passover, Jesus was able to recognise his mission. The confirmation of this claim is considered by the author to be a way of vindicating and recognising the fruitfulness of the Christological method in the face of the claims of the third quest.
