Abstract

We offer here the second part of Gaspar Rul-lán Buades' reflection on Gandhi's thought. After having studied, in the first part, the influence that Jainism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Christianity had on Gandhi, the author analyses the concrete meaning of the three basic concepts of Gandhi's whole ideological construction: Truth (sat ya), Non-violence (ahimsa) and the Force of truth or love (satyagraha), to end with a brief reflection on the utopian character of Gandhi's thought In this way we hope to have achieved and completed a synthesis of the ethical-political-religious positions of this key figure in 20th century culture.
