Abstract

The situation of religious life in Europe speaks of a profound crisis (See), which points, however, to other more general crises: ecclesial, religious, social... and which can serve as a possibility for the birth of something new, as long as partial solutions are not given (Judge). Faced with the current situation, the lines of action are not clear, but we can point out some ways that make it possible for this moment to be a theological place where the presence of God can be discovered: respect for the different rhythms of individuals and congregations and the commitment to an important change in the understanding of Religious Life beyond superficial re-foundations, without falling into the temptation of maintaining Religious Life as we know it, by importing religious from other continents.
