The New image of God in Teilhard de Chardin
Main Article Content
Abstract
This year we celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Teilhard de Chardin. In this article, Professor Núñez de Castro presents the genesis and explanation of Teilhard's image of God. For the author, this image of God "could not be other than that of the God of evolution", and this in two ways: that of the evolutionary God and that of the evolutionary God. This article shows that Teilhard de Chardin tried throughout his life to speak of God in terms comprehensible to modern man and that Teilhard can be considered a mystic because he did so on the basis of his personal prayer, of his experience of the presence of God in himself.
