The elaboration of Trinitarian doctrine in the light of the Councils of Nicaea and Constantinople I
Main Article Content
Abstract
On more than one occasion, this magazine has insisted on providing up-to-date and accessible syntheses of important aspects of Christian dogma. Theology is often presented in a closed and excessively qualified discourse. Gabino Uribarri, professor of Dogmatic Theology at Comillas University in Madrid, attempts to unravel the initial development of Trinitarian doctrine, so that the uninitiated can perceive the fundamental milestones of this development and the conceptual achievements made. The offer is far from trivial: the Trinitarian understanding of God constitutes the distinctive feature of Christianity and establishes a novelty in the history of religions.
