Abstract
Isabella the Catholic did not actively participate in the expeditions, but her reign was crucial in opening the Americas to evangelization. Her main concern was not political or economic, but the spiritual salvation of the newly encountered peoples. Her will reveals a deep religious conviction and moral legacy, acting as queen and spiritual guide until the end.
