Abstract
The Christian teacher operates in two fundamental spheres—the church community and the school—and must be fully aware of their role within each: in the school setting, the lay Catholic will find their mission more clearly defined and focused: to foster an evangelical consciousness as a tool enabling today’s children, adolescents, and young people to envision and build a more just and humane society.
