Trento algunas lecciones de un gran concilio
Main Article Content
Abstract
A council is not only significant for the problems it seeks to resolve at a given time, but also for the method it employs, the underlying theology that drives it, and the difficulties it must overcome. The Council of Trent has come down to us rather distorted by later interpretations that have not always been in line with its fundamental aim: the salvation of souls. Both because of this primary aim set by the council fathers and because of the excellent rapport between bishops and theologians, it is worth commemorating it as an inspiration and example for possible future councils.
