La educación religiosa en el mundo actual

Abstract

If ‘religious education’ is to have a place in schools, it must, above all, be ‘education’. The term ‘religious’ must in no way contradict the very essence of education; otherwise, it will be a religious activity, but not an educational one. And if it is not ‘educational’, it has no place in institutions dedicated to education. The aim is to demonstrate the harmony between education and religion, the urgent need for a new form of religious education, and to offer educators some guiding principles for educational practice in times of constant and rapid change.
