Evaluación de la satisfacción del alumnado universitario en el Programa de Aprendizaje-Servicio y mentoría Huelva Educa
Main Article Content
Abstract
In a rapidly evolving global landscape, the quality of education is essential for promoting and facilitating transformative social changes. In this context, the Huelva Educa Program (PHE) was developed, based on the Service-Learning and mentoring methodology, aiming to determine university students' personal and academic satisfaction upon completing the program as mentors. University students participating as mentors were trained within the Educational Psychology course across various degrees. Subsequently, individualized mentoring sessions were developed to address the needs of each Primary or Secondary Education student interested in participating. The tutors-teachers, and students' families detected the needs. This information was provided to the PHE responsible, to design and plan the intervention. A total of 62 mentors participated. Although the results indicated a moderate level of satisfaction concerning their participation, the findings were positive regarding the variables of support, commitment to learning, program implementation, and transversal and specific competencies. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of linking university education with community needs.
