Are the classical proofs of God's existence really onto-theo-logical?
Main Article Content
Abstract
Jean-Luc Marion is proposing an interpretation not onto-theo-logical of the classic proofs of God´s existence. The French philosopher intends, in the first place, to question the ontological interpretation that, from Kant on, has been given to the Anselmian argumentum. Likewise, he is going to try to extricate it, not only from the horizon of metaphysics, but also from the issue of the being of the ens [entity]. On the other hand, he also is defending that the idea of “God without the being” could be transformed into a deep Thomist thesis, since Thomas Aquinas does not think God, starting from the being, but the being [starting] from God.
