Abstract

Kierkegaard sets out from existence to put it directly in relation with the concrete human individual. For the Danish philosopher to exist is to be individual. But, this “existent individual,” who is in the process of development, that is: who has to become, through acts of free choice, only then will he be able to reach existential fullness, when he rests, in an enlightened manner, on the Power that gives him consistency, in God. It is a being that is on dependency with respect to God, that exists before God, and that in God is he due to search for his peace and his repose. But, how is this existence before God? This will be the question that the author of this article shall intend to answer setting out from the existential path proposed by Søren Kierkegaard.
