Abstract

The article analyzes the phenomenon of wokism, a movement that challenges the foundations of Western civilization and Christianity. Through a brief conceptual analysis, it highlights the underlying philosophical influences (postmodernism, nihilism, and deconstructionism) and discusses their impact on traditional institutions and cultural narratives. Furthermore, it explores its religious dimension, analyzing how wokism can be interpreted in relation to the spiritual legacy of Christianity in general, and Protestantism in particular. The reflection underscores the role of the Americanization of ideas in the global dissemination of this worldview, highlighting how it can lead to a critical reevaluation of the West’s artistic, cultural, and intellectual heritage from a reductionist perspective, which views it as part of a system of discrimination and oppression.
